Typical brake symptoms owners report

  • Brake pedal travels to the floor with little or no stopping power, sometimes leading to rear-end collisions at low speed.
  • Brake fluid leaks from the master cylinder into the brake booster, gradually reducing braking power at stops.
  • Braking effort increases while sitting at a red light or stop, requiring more pedal force to hold the vehicle.
  • Vehicle rolls after starting or shifting into gear when the brake pedal unexpectedly goes soft or to the floor.
  • Owners report pressing the throttle accidentally while braking, in one case resulting in a collision.
  • Intermittent brake warning-related error messages appear along with stalling near stops.
