Typical airbag symptoms owners report

  • Airbags fail to deploy during moderate-speed frontal or side-impact crashes, leaving occupants unprotected.
  • Airbags deploy unexpectedly or too aggressively in low-speed collisions, causing burns or forcing an otherwise drivable car to be towed.
  • Airbags deploy only partially during a crash, failing to fully protect the driver from head or upper-body injury.
  • Side or curtain airbags deploy during loss-of-control incidents on curves or freeways, sometimes accompanied by reports of erratic steering or braking behavior.
  • Airbag deployment forces striking the driver's head have been reported to cause the driver to veer off the road after the airbag activates.
